A great clash of styles. The Netherlands will face Turkey in the quarter-finals on Saturday, July 6 at 9 p.m. in Berlin, for a place in the last four. After a complicated group stage, Memphis Depay’s teammates reassured against Romania in the round of 16 (3-0). The Dutch found their attacking game again to disgust the Romanians, who were unable to live up to the challenge. To have every chance of reaching the semi-finals, the Netherlands will have to repeat this performance.

Against them, the Turks pulled off a bit of a surprise by eliminating the Austrians. Dominated in the game, Arda Güler’s teammates were able to take advantage of their strong point, set pieces with two goals from corners, to qualify. Against the Netherlands, they must expect to be deprived of the ball once again. Back from suspension, Turkey will still have its leader Hakan Calhanoglu back, to bring a bit of serenity to the midfield. Encouraged by their fans, the Turks will give their all to get back to the semi-finals and ignite their many supporters, sixteen years later.
