Guillaume St-Louis Bernier, a close collaborator of Dave “Pic” Turmel, was arrested in British Columbia last Sunday.
The Quebec City Police Department (SPVQ) announced Saturday the arrest of Guillaume St-Louis Bernier, 28, by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) following a police stop in Kelowna, in southern British Columbia.
His arrest comes about three months after a Canada-wide arrest warrant was issued against him in connection with drug trafficking and receiving stolen goods.
“Following his arrest by the RCMP, investigators and members of the Tactical Intervention Group travelled to British Columbia to repatriate him (Friday evening) around 11 p.m. to Quebec City,” explained Pierre-Olivier Lévesque, SPVQ communications officer.

St-Louis Bernier was to appear by videoconference on Saturday.
The investigation into the suspect was launched in August last year and targeted a drug trafficking ring.
The SPVQ considers St-Louis Bernier to be a “close collaborator” of Dave Turmel, who is still on the run and wanted by the authorities for arrest warrants also related to armed violence and drug trafficking.
Dave “Pic” Turmel is the alleged leader of the Blood Family Mafia gang and is one of the people targeted by Project “Unhealthy,” an operation launched in February 2019 to counter a rise in violence linked to drug trafficking.
