Two favourites for a single place in the last four. Germany will face Spain in the quarter-finals of the Euro, Friday 5 July at 6pm, on the pitch of the Stuttgart Arena. Having emerged from the group stage in first place in Group A and having beaten Denmark without a hitch (2-0) in the round of 16, Julian Nagelsmann’s men have had a more than convincing run so far.

In order to reach the semi-final for the 10th time in its history, the Nationalelf will have to get rid of one of the big favourites of this Euro, the Spanish selection. Successively victorious over Croatia (3-0), Italy (1-0), and Albania (1-0), the Red flew through Group B, before shuddering for half-time against Georgia in the round of 16. After an own goal from Spanish defender Robin le Normand, national coach Luis De la Fuente’s men responded perfectly, eventually winning 4-1.
