Placed in police custody this Wednesday, July 3, 2024, following the accident in which he fatally hit a pedestrian, the young Stade Rennais player was brought before an investigating judge. He was released, but summoned to appear before the criminal court on August 23.
The 18-year-old will be tried for “involuntary manslaughter by driver of a motor vehicle” and for “manifestly deliberate violation of an obligation of safety or prudence” as well as “lack of insurance” Philippe Astruc, the public prosecutor of Rennes, said in a press release.
He faces a possible seven-year prison sentence.
