At a conference on integrative health, an approach that blends conventional medicine and alternative practices, the second option was the one widely put forward.

In June 2024, a conference was held on so-called integrative health. This approach combines conventional medicine and alternative practices. However, medicine is far from being the subject, since it talks about clairvoyance, magnetism and, above all, business. On one stand, a mat and a belt are presented as being effective against most pains and illnesses thanks, in particular, to the power of stones. On another stand, water filtered according to the principles of biodynamics is presented. This practice, based on beliefs, has no proven benefits.

A doctor is invited to the congress: Professor Christian Perronne. Former head of infectious and tropical diseases at Garches hospital (Hauts-de-Seine), he was dismissed from his duties in December 2020 for his controversial remarks on Covid-19 and vaccines. On the stage, he shares conspiratorial rhetoric, claiming that New Caledonia will be emptied of its inhabitants by a global elite. The congress discredits medicine and the scientific method in general.
