Air Force: a spectacle by the French patrol to celebrate its 80th anniversary
(France 2)

The 90th anniversary of the Air Force was celebrated with a unique show by the Patrouille de France, in front of 20,000 spectators, on Saturday June 28.

At full speed, they turned many heads. Loops, spins, flips: the aerobatic pilots declared their passion for the Air Force in the skies of Versailles on the evening of Friday, June 28. A demonstration of agility and courage. To celebrate its 90th anniversary, the Air Force took a leap in time, above the Palace of Versailles, where it all began, where the general staff took up its quarters in the 1930s.

A very grand birthday with 20,000 spectators as guests, a suspended moment for them and for the parachutists, no matter the thousands of jumps to their credit. A moment of history: the Rafale flies at its minimum speed to parade alongside its ancestor from the 1930s. The performance sends shivers through the crowd. Great emotion even for the most experienced. A grandiose celebration, which will have, perhaps, even given rise to a few vocations.
