A three-year-old child was found in the middle of the night in the forest after several hours of disappearance in Saint-Cergues (Haute-Savoie) where he was on vacation, reports, Saturday June 29, France Bleu Pays de Savoie. His parents had lost sight of him the previous evening Friday. A large force was deployed in the town. More than 50 police officers, firefighters and volunteers were mobilized. The little boy was finally found Saturday June 29, around 4:45 a.m., in the middle of the forest.
The child was lost sight of by his parents around 7:30 p.m. while he was playing. His family, who came from Portugal, is housed in a former colony center, in Saint-Cergues. While he was playing on the slide, he suddenly decided to follow the owner’s dog. His parents then lost sight of him in a few minutes.
After half an hour of fruitless searching, the parents raised the alarm. In the meantime, the dog returned alone. A PGHM helicopter, volunteers, police officers and firefighters then began to search the area. During the night, a group of police officers spotted small footprints in the mud, in a very steep area of Saint-Cergues. They finally found the child huddled in a corner, in the middle of the forest, at 4:45 in the morning.
In good health, the child was quickly able to reunite with his parents.
