NHL Draft | Canadiens acquire 21st pick

(Las Vegas) The Canadian made a transaction this Friday, in order to improve its position in the first round of the draft.

Holder of choices number 5 and 26, the Habs gave up their 26e first-round pick to the Los Angeles Kings, plus second-round picks (57e) and seventh round (198e). In return, the team received the Kings’ first-round pick, No. 21e rank.

Following this transaction, CH finds itself with 10 choices in the 2024 draft, the first round of which will take place this Friday evening in Las Vegas. The club management will speak twice in the first round and two more times in the third round.

The Buffalo Sabres and the San Jose Sharks had made a similar trade the day before.
