A man shot dead in the street in Nanterre, the suspects fled

The tragedy unfolded around 5:30 a.m. when two individuals on a scooter approached the victim, before shooting five times.

The Nanterre public prosecutor’s office has opened an investigation into murder following the death of a man on Friday at around 6am in the Berthelot housing estate in Nanterre (Hauts-de-Seine), franceinfo learned from a source close to the investigation.

According to the same source, around 5:30 a.m., two individuals on a scooter approached the victim, one of them took out a weapon and fired five shots. They then fled.

When they arrived on scene, the police discovered the victim with five bullet holes in his torso. She was treated by emergency doctors, but he was pronounced dead at 6 a.m. Several 9mm caliber shell casings were discovered on site by investigators.

The SDPJ 92 (the Hauts-de-Seine judicial police) is responsible for the investigation.
