Gulls are at the heart of the concerns of municipalities, which fight against their proliferation. In Concarneau, in Finistère, the residents are exasperated. Some municipalities are launching egg sterilization campaigns.
The nuisance caused by gulls can be very annoying. Has the gull, the animal symbol of the seaside, become too invasive? Faced with the decline in food resources outside, due in particular to human activities, birds are settling in cities. Except that in numbers, they generate noise and droppings. Without forgetting greater aggressiveness during periods of laying and feeding of the young. In this case, they can go so far as to attack those who bother them by getting too close. This is particularly the case in Concarneau, in Finistère.
Cohabitation between residents and gulls is at the heart of the concerns of many coastal towns. The main methods used to combat these birds remain egg sterilization. The municipalities invite their citizens not to feed them, nor leave their waste or garbage bags lying around on the road.
