In Nantes (Loire-Atlantique), several schools were invaded by water on Thursday June 20 evening. Part of the Nantes ring road is completely flooded, causing major traffic jams.
In Nièvre, residents have their feet in the water. In front of a supermarket, there are more than 30 centimeters. A woman is even thrown off balance by the force of water. Yonne got out of bed. Water quickly invades entire neighborhoods, motorists struggle to move forward. After the torrential rains of the night, the firefighters worked to evacuate the water from the homes. In one of them, water entered through the garage, before rushing through the kitchen and laundry room.
Bad weather which began on Wednesday June 19. The cars moved forward in the middle of the waves. There is so much water that cafe terraces are drowned and manholes are overflowing. France was crossed by spectacular storms. In Dordogne, it was the force of the wind which caused the damage. Thursday June 20, thunderstorms are forecast again.
