A worker died on a construction site on Wednesday at Phillips Square in Montreal.

The worker is a subcontractor of the company Magil Construction. The death was reported on the spot.

In a press release, Magil Construction claimed to be working with CNESST investigators. “The site has been evacuated and we remind all our workers that they have access to psychological support,” the company also indicated.

The CNESST specified in an email that the inspectors are on site and that they “question witnesses and are interested in the working methods used, the equipment, the supervision of workers as well as their training and experience work”.
