These inscriptions made on Monday in black paint represent a mixture of the French Mirage 2000 fighter plane and coffins. They clearly establish a link between France’s diplomatic position and the war in Ukraine.

Stencils “Mirages for Ukraine”above a drawing representing a coffin-shaped fighter plane, were discovered Monday June 18 in Paris, in the 5e arrondissement, Franceinfo learned from a source close to the investigation.

The inscriptions were made using a stencil and black spray paint. The police of the 5th and 6th arrondissement were contacted. But these are not the only drawings that have emerged in recent days in the capital, since our colleagues from Libération discovered some in front of their premises, located in 13e borough.

The authors of these stencils were inspired by a press cartoon created by Charlie Hebdo.

This is not the first time that justice has dealt with this subject: on June 11, three Moldovans suspected of having drawn stencils in Paris representing coffins with the inscription “French soldier in Ukraine” were indicted.

On the night of May 13 to 14, 35 red hands were spray painted on the Holocaust memorial in Paris. Since the opening of a judicial investigation at the end of May, investigators have been digging into the trail of three suspects on the run abroad.
