The Canadian had to add two more names to his already very long list of players subject to the COVID-19 protocol.
The club announced Friday night that Alex Belzile and Kale Clague had been subject to the National Hockey League’s COVID-19 protocol.
The attacker and the defender thus bring to 24 the number of players of the Canadian whose name has been added to this list since the start of the season.
With the addition of Belzile and Clague, 10 of the 20 players who played in the December 30 meeting in Carolina had to be submitted to the protocol.
For now, the Canadian must resume training on Sunday, at his training center in Brossard.
The club’s next game is scheduled for Wednesday, Jan. 12 against the Bruins. This game, which was originally scheduled to be presented at the Bell Center, will be played in Boston.
