the CFTC has “the will” to attack the decree confirmed by Gabriel Attal, “but we have to go there with marbles”

Will the CFTC follow in the footsteps of the CGT, and challenge the decree reforming unemployment insurance before the Council of State? “Our position is not completely settleddeclares its president, Cyril Chabanier, Thursday June 13 on franceinfo. We have the will to go there, but we have to go there with courage.”

Earlier in the morning, the Prime Minister, Gabriel Attal, confirmed on France Inter that this decree will be taken by July 1, in the middle of the campaign in view of the anticipated legislative elections. Denis Gravouil, member of the CGT confederal office, immediately assured franceinfo that the CGT would resort to the Council of State.

According to the CFTC leader, “it is not easy, today, to find the only legal flaws, so we are still thinking about it.” “It is good to challenge the decree with the Council of State, but we must have legal elements that are playable”he insists.

“We continue to work on it. We also discuss among ourselves, union organizations, between us, lawyers, to try to have a common front on this, it is not easy”, he adds. On the other hand, he is sure of one thing: “tightening the conditions of access or reducing the duration of the unemployed has never created a return to employment with figures which demonstrate it”. It’s actually quite the opposite.” he says.
