The Slovenian won his second Critérium du Dauphiné on Sunday after a very close finish.
Eight short seconds to make a big difference. Primoz Roglic (Bora-hansgrohe) won his second Critérium du Dauphiné by saving his yellow jersey in the final seconds of the eighth stage, Sunday June 9. The Slovenian resisted until the end the attacks of his runners-up, Matteo Jorgenson (Visma-Lease a Bike) and Derek Gee (Israel-Premier Tech), in the last climb towards the Glières plateau (9.4 kilometers at 7, 1%), final arrival of this 2024 edition.
The American and the Canadian, ultimately 2nd and 3rd in the general classification, were part of the last leading group, along with Carlos Rodriguez (Ineos-Grenadiers), winner of the day. Primoz Roglic completed a successful Critérium du Dauphiné, with two stage victories and great promises before the Tour de France.
