The Israeli army announced on Saturday June 8 that it had freed four Israeli hostages during a military operation “difficult” in Nousseirat, in the center of the Gaza Strip. They are Noa Argamani, 26, Almog Meir Jan, 22, Andrey Kozlov, 27, and Shlomi Ziv, 41, all four kidnapped by Hamas on October 7 from the site of the Nova electro music festival , said the army.

The hostages were “helped” in two different locations in the heart of Nousseirat, according to the army. “They are in good health and have been transferred to the Sheba Medical Center in Tel HaShomer to carry out additional medical examinations”according to this press release.

The Hostage Families Forum welcomed a “miraculous triumph”. He added that the Israeli government “had to remember his commitment to bring back” all those still detained in Gaza. “The message sent this morning to Hamas is clear: we are determined to bring all the hostages home”declared Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari, spokesperson for the Israeli army.

Hamas claimed in a statement that Israeli attacks on the Nousseirat camp had left at least 210 dead and more than 400 injured in Israeli attacks on the Nousseirat camp, without mentioning the release of hostages.
