“Pool Party, Vol. 1”, paddling pool

Agathe Dupéré invites us, with her paddling pool project, to a party swimming pool like no other, a bit emo and idle. Her latest EP is, in fact, a collaborative playground for which the singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist has surrounded herself with a handful of those close to her. The only constraint to their fun: creating songs in two days with the means at hand, recording included, top time. The majority of titles are therefore one-take — frankly successful. Not the time to fool ! Thierry Larose, Sophia Bel, Reno McCarthy, Les Shirley and Claire Morrison have jumped in with both feet into this musical adventure which sometimes sounds like Moldy Peaches (How much does it cost), sometimes like Jean Leloup (A night in Paris, Need a 2) with a grunge flavor… Still, paddlingoire is still paddling by joining forces with its peers and making everyone’s artistic identity shine. Let us finally underline the candid poetry which emanates from every second of this Pool party, vol. 1. When’s the sequel?

Pool party, vol. 1.
