Ventolin out of stock in pharmacies

Ventolin sprays are increasingly difficult to find in pharmacies. In recent days, stocks have been under pressure throughout France. It is not yet a shortage, since there are still boxes left, but their number is insufficient to satisfy demand. A lack which raises questions, while the risk of pollen allergy is high everywhere in France.

“The problem is that we have a lack of information at the drug chain level, at least at the very end. And this, whether it is pharmacists or doctors who sometimes prescribe without knowing that the medicine is out of stock”, explains Yorick Berger, general secretary of the Paris pharmacists’ union, in the 8H on Friday June 7. The selling price of the drug could explain the tension on stocks.
