D’Armes, a Quebec company designing and manufacturing high-end lighting, revealed two new collections as part of the International Contemporary Furniture Fair, which took place in New York last week. Selected in pane Lookbookwhich is reserved for the next generation, the studio confirms its positioning among emerging players on the North American market.
The fruit of a collaboration with two emerging designers, the collections Doppler And 1979 are part of the brutalist and elegant aesthetic of the Armes studio. In its workshops in Montreal and Morin-Heights, in the Laurentians, the lighting expert manufactures its innovative pieces with a view to sustainable design, from recyclable local aluminum and steel.
The collection Dopplercreated by Product designer Florian Martin, founder of the Belgian studio Finkr, stands out for the brilliance of his material: a metal adopting organic shapes reminiscent of water waves. 1979by Montreal furniture designer Will Choui, focuses on simple and refined lines that elevate the decor.
