A warning from Moscow to Western countries. Russian President Vladimir Putin threatened to deliver weapons to third countries likely to strike Western interests on Wednesday June 5 if the West allows Ukraine to strike Russia with its long-range missiles.
“If someone considers it possible to supply such weapons in the combat zone to strike our territory (…) why should we not have the right to supply our weapons of the same type to regions of the world where they will be struck the sensitive installations of the countries which act in this way against Russia”declared the Russian president during a meeting with several press agencies, including AFP.
US President Joe Biden recently agreed so that the Ukrainians strike targets on Russian territory near the Kharkiv region (Ukraine), with weapons supplied by the United States. Other Western countries have also given their approval, such as the United Kingdom. France has announced that it is also in favor. Ukraine nevertheless hopes to convince its allies to grant it more freedom in the use of these weapons.
