The operation is impressive: in just a few minutes, these volunteers help women victims of domestic violence to move before their partner returns. Brut followed them during an express move.

With her association “A voice for them”, co-creator Loëtitia Mas wanted “provide concrete, material and logistical assistance to women victims.” Since its creation in 2019, the association has operated “more than 350 emergency moves”, And “we realize that demand is exponential: we do one move per day” specifies Loëtitia Mas. Sabine Bodiroga, president of the association, adds that the moment when the woman wants to leave is the most critical: “When the woman wants to leave, it is often the moment when the violent man takes action who will, unfortunately, kill the partner. It’s at this precise moment. For what ? Because the woman wants to escape. She has the trigger. And for a violent spouse, this is unacceptable and this is where the worst tragedies happen.”

Every day, members of the “A voice for them” association help women who are victims of violence and wish to move. The move must be rapid since no one knows when the violent spouse will return. Speed of execution is precisely one of the “strengths” from the Association. Loëtitia Mas specifies that the association is capable of intervening “in just 24 hours if necessary”. The team escorts the women to their new accommodation.

The team includes some former victims, like Zoulikha Hariz, who has now become a companion of the association. She explains : “I was a victim a while ago. The team, A voice for them, and We move!, came to do the moving for me. It was summer, it was late and they didn’t didn’t hesitate once. That day, I was so happy that I didn’t have time to cry. I felt so comfortable, it was like family to me. “I didn’t let go of the association anymore”. The support person invites all women experiencing violence to leave the premises as quickly as possible: “We must not be afraid: if we are not well, if we are mistreated, if we do not feel at home and if we are really with someone who does not deserve us, leave.
