Woman close to Robert Miller arrested for pimping

Less than a week after the arrest of wealthy Montreal businessman Robert Miller for various sexual crimes, police arrested a woman close to him on Tuesday in Montreal for pimping.

Aged 67, Teresita Fuentes was arrested by the Montreal City Police Service (SPVM).

This new arrest is linked to one of Robert Miller’s alleged victims, the SPVM announced.

The octogenarian, who until recently was the big boss of the company Future Electronics, faces 21 charges including sexual assault, pimping and sexual exploitation of ten young women and teenage girls between 1994 and 2016. Their identity is protected by publication bans.

Teresita Fuentes was released on a promise to appear at the Montreal courthouse on July 3, the date Miller is also due back in court.

He was the target of an SPVM investigation in 2009, but no charges were laid at the time. In 2023, the investigation was relaunched after a report by Radio-Canada which dug into the matter and spoke to women who claimed to have been recruited as teenagers to offer him sexual services in exchange for money and gifts. .

During the arrest of Robert Miller, the SPVM indicated that members of his entourage and employees of his company Future Electronics could also be targeted by charges.

The SPVM investigation continues. The police force invites any victim or witness of sexual exploitation related to this case or any other similar event to come forward by contacting the Sexual Exploitation Section at 514 280-8522.
