The Rail Pass, offering unlimited train travel during the summer to 16-27 year olds, for a subscription of 49 euros per month, will make its debut on Wednesday June 5. Nearly 700,000 young people could be seduced.
Unlimited train travel throughout France. This is the promise of the Rail Pass, open from Wednesday June 5 for reservation. For 49 euros per month, young people aged 16 to 27 will be able to travel as much as they want in July and August, on all TER and Intercités trains. An offer which is already of interest to young travelers, encountered on Tuesday June 4 at Bordeaux station. “To go wherever you want throughout France, I find it to be an affordable price”judges a young woman.
The guarantee for some to take the train more often. “It allows me to travel to other cities, to visit, to discover France”, explains another concerned user. But be careful, the Rail Pass will not concern high-speed trains, TGVs and Ouigo. Another disadvantage is that the internal lines of Île-de-France are not part of the system. Despite everything, nearly 700,000 young people could subscribe online on the SNCF website or a reservation site.
