Two cubs, a male and a female, were born on May 9 at the Sainte-Croix animal park in Moselle. Quite rare births, the last ones date back to 2019 in the park, reports France Bleu Lorraine Nord.
The arrival of these two little gray wolves allows the creation of a new pack within the park. “It’s a new story, a new chapter in the history of the park. Now, we can talk about a new pack, since it’s really a family unit that is created when a couple settles on a territory and reproduces, and there they reproduce”comments on France Bleu Lorraine Nord Anthony Kohler, the zoological director of the Sainte-Croix park.
In one to two weeks, the cubs will come out of their den to explore their territory, which will allow the teams to observe their behavior and distinctive traits, and to name them according to their personality.
