Exit Guillaume Canet, Laurent Baffie, Sheryfa Luna or Nawell Madani, Guillaume Pley had the honor of talking with rapper Sadek on the occasion of the release of his new album Open all summer. An interview during which the artist spoke at length about his career in music, but also in the 7th art. In addition to his professional projects, the latter also benefited from his time in Legend to talk about his impressive weight loss. Badly in his skin, Ninho’s sidekick underwent a sleeve (removal of part of the stomach, editor’s note) which allowed him to lose nearly 100 kg.
“From 12 to 20 years old, I arrived in double morbid obesity, he confides. Because I ate too much: no sport and no healthy lifestyle. […] I had a compulsive obsession with food, I ate badly, quickly and anything. Overweight, Sadek therefore opted for an irreversible operation. “We reduce your stomach, we give you a second chance and you leave with a baby’s stomach. And then it can grow depending on what you do with it.” he explains.

A terrible accident at the origin of his weight gain
Since then, Sadek has lost 98 kg. “I was 198 kg, I couldn’t even weigh myself on conventional scales anymore. It was really like in a cartoon, it wrote: ‘Error'”, he says before continuing: “I was starting to be known, that’s when I made the ‘Mektoub’ sound, which was my first sound that had worked a bit”.
According to him, an accident he allegedly suffered at the age of 11 contributed to his weight gain. At the time, he had been unable to move for a year. Now unrecognizable, he recently mentioned his physical transformation on his Instagram account. “I didn’t lose weight for aesthetics, he assures. I lost weight because I want to become the best artist on stage in France. You’ll see it on our little tour.” To be continued…
