9 dead and 50 injured after marquee collapses

In the middle of an electoral rally in the town of San Pedro Garza, Mexico, under the force of the wind, the marquee on the stage gave way and collapsed on a panic-stricken audience on the evening of Wednesday, May 22. Seconds earlier, presidential candidate Jorge Alvarez Mayness, on the stage, narrowly escaped.
