Like every day, the 11 p.m. news takes a tour of the news broadcast by European television channels. It’s Eurozapping on Tuesday July 11th.

On board a makeshift boat, 80 men and six women were rescued by the Spanish coast guard off the Canary Islands (Spain). These migrants had left Senegal at the end of June for a long crossing of 1,700 km. According to the NGOs, other boats would have left the same day, with 200 people on board who are stillspextinct nettless, Tuesday, July 11.

The BBC in turmoil

In the UK, the BBC is in turmoil. It was the tabloid The Sun which revealed the case. A presenter of the British public channel is accused of having paid a minor in exchange for pornographic photographs. Payments of up to 40,000 euros would have started in 2020. The name of this media personality, who has so far been suspended by the BBC, has not been disclosed.
