A few notes of this song are enough to take us back in an instant to the heart of spring 1980, when France discovered the curly hair of Italian singer Richard Cocciante and became passionate about THE Sunburn. Behind the hit, there is a special love story, that of its lyricist, Jean-Paul Dréau, at the time in love with a young girl living opposite his home. When she leaves him, he writes in one go the lyrics of this song which will have a particular power: to bring back his loved one. “8:30 p.m. on Saturday” tells the story of the birth of a lucky melody.
