The animal cause: “a major issue”

Hélène Thouy, candidate of the Animalist Party for the 2022 presidential election, was the first guest at 8:30 a.m. franceinfo, Saturday February 12. She answered questions from Myriam Encaoua and Ersin Leibowitch.

The animal cause “is a major issue” of the presidential election, assured Hélène Thouy. It is “a sign of the very high expectations of citizens on this subject”, estimated the co-founder and co-president of the Animalist Party which currently collects 56 sponsorships validated by the Constitutional Council. “It’s a real difficulty, (…) we have a lot of mayors who hesitate to confirm their sponsorships because they are under pressure”added Hélène Thouy.

“Freedom convoys”: a “healthy” social protest

Nathalie Arthaud, Workers’ Struggle candidate for the presidential election, was the second guest at 8:30 a.m. franceinfo, Saturday February 12. She also answered questions from Myriam Encaoua and Ersin Leibowitch.

“This social protest is healthy”, estimated Nathalie Arthaud, while the “freedom convoys” were at the gates of Paris to demonstrate against rising prices, health measures and Emmanuel Macron’s policy. This “Social protest is the denunciation of soaring gas prices, Total’s super profits, precariousness, low wages. They are right to fight and I applaud them for inviting themselves into this campaign election. It feels good to finally hear about the problems of the working classes.”
