800 spectators for the hologram meeting of Jean-Luc Mélenchon in Pau

The multi-meeting of Jean-Luc Mélenchon, candidate of La France Insoumise in the presidential election was held in twelve cities this Tuesday evening. Jean-Luc Mélenchon was physically in Lille and in 11 cities in hologram. He therefore performed in front of nearly 800 spectators gathered at the Zénith de Pau. Mainly activists, elected officials too, and curious people who came from Béarn and the Basque Country. Almost all convinced and often all intrigued by this technology which has almost become the trademark of this pretender to the Élysée.

About 200 technical teams

The implementation on the 12 sites of this multiple meeting, in physics and in holograms, mobilized around 200 technical personnel. It also represents three weeks of preparation and one day of assembly, according to the press release of the party of La France Insoumise. That turns out well, “we are here for the content and the form” say those who made the trip to see Jean-Luc Mélenchon at the Zénith de Pau. There is even a little excitement for Raphaël, a 19-year-old from Pau: “Will it be transparent or in smoke? That’s also why I came, to see what it’s worth.”

Others are more organized and have anticipated. This is the case of Lorie, who came from the Basque Country with Mathieu: “We were advised not to put ourselves too much in front otherwise we would not see our feet, not too far behind otherwise it cuts off the head of the hologram, so you have to get in the middle.” At 8:15 p.m. sharp, the famous hologram appears, rather well done. Jean-Luc Mélenchon respected the dress code to be clearly visible, light gray suit and red tie. It’s so realistic that you can see the folds of his pants. Some found that”stunning“, “well done“, “it’s science fiction, like Star Wars“, “as if he were there“… Especially as someone who did not want to miss the home stretch before the first round of the presidential election this Sunday.
