Two people were present in Pierre Palmade’s car in the accident which occurred on Friday February 10 in Seine-et-Marne. And one of the two was already in trouble with the law. Indeed, our colleagues from Sunday newspaper indicate, this Saturday, February 18, that Sambou G., 34, was sentenced just eight days before the tragedy. A sentence of one year in prison, with a probationary suspension of three years, for drug trafficking pronounced on February 2, 2023.
The case dates from the fall of 2021. A time during which the Paris prosecutor’s office entrusted the investigation to the narcotics brigade of the judicial police. In addition to the conviction for drug trafficking, the sentence was accompanied by a probationary suspension of three years, and therefore various conditions, including the prohibition to come into contact with Pierre Palmade as noted by our colleagues from BFM TV.

Pierre Palmade already mentioned his problems with alcohol and cocaine
At the time of Sambou G.’s police custody in October 2021, Pierre Palmade was also heard by the police in an open hearing after his bank card was found on the suspect according to the Journal du Dimanche. Our colleagues note that the 54-year-old artist was already sharing his addiction problems with the police. “I want to be abstinent. It’s a real disease for me, I am followed by a psychiatrist”, he would have confided to them, also assuring: “I go to narcotics anonymous. […] I really want to stop this.”
Totally transparent about his addictions and his relapses, Pierre Palmade would have let them know that he was drinking “two bottles of vodka”, “took several grams of 3-MMC (a synthetic drug, editor’s note) and a little cocaine”. A testimony that may date back several years, but which should not help his already complicated situation…
