(Toronto) Tyrese Maxey set a career high with 44 points and all 76ers of Philadelphia defeated the Toronto Raptors 112-90 on Friday.

Maxey was flawless on seven 3-pointers in the first half. He finished game nine for 12 in this chapter.
Tobias Harris and De’Anthony Melton added 13 points each, two more than James Harden.
Melton also shone with six assists, five rebounds and five steals.
Sixers leading scorer Joel Embiid stayed out with a sore right knee.
Pascal Siakam had 26 points and 10 rebounds for Toronto, which is 3-3.
OG Anunoby (19 points), Gary Trent (14) and Scottie Barnes (13) also did well on offense.
Barnes went 3-for-4 from beyond the perimeter.
Montrealer Chris Boucher went there by eight points and three blocks.
Fred VanVleet had a miserable night, missing all 11 shots, including eight from three-point range. His only point came from a free throw.

At the half, the Raptors’ reserves had no points and the club had committed 10 turnovers.
Philadelphia was able to finish the first half up 65-48.
