South Africa scored the biggest victory in a World Cup since 2011, crushing Romania on Sunday in Bordeaux.

After a logically more timid success against Scotland (18-3), South Africa, in steamroller mode, made short work of Romania, Sunday September 17, in Bordeaux (76-0) . The Springboks thus signed the largest victory in the World Cup since their own success against Namibia in 2011 (87-0). For Romania, it is another slap in the face after their 82-8 defeat against Ireland.

12 tries scored, 5 conversions missed

The South Africans left the Romanians no hope, scoring the first of their 12 tries in the third minute, thanks to Cobus Reinach, who scored two more in the match. Makazole Mapimpi also scored a hat-trick, while Grant Williams scored twice in goal. The Springboks, however, missed five conversions. Which did not prevent them from being full of confidence six days before the clash against Ireland at the Stade de France, especially as fly-half Handre Pollard will join them for the rest of the competition.
