70 kilos of a product used in the manufacture of synthetic drugs stolen, for damage of more than 2.5 million euros

70 kilos of palladium acetate were stolen on the night of Wednesday May 10 to Thursday May 11 in Villeneuve-la-Garenne (Hauts-de-Seine), from the Seqens company specializing in the production of pharmaceutical products, franceinfo learned from a source close to the file. This product is used in particular in the manufacture of synthetic drugs. The damage is estimated at 2.54 million euros, one kilo of this product being worth 33,400 euros.

According to the first elements of the investigation, the facts were committed between 11 p.m. and midnight. One or more people entered the company by breaking down a door. In an iron cage was the coveted product. Officers viewed CCTV cameras and saw a man sawing through the bars of the iron cage.

This man managed to steal six barrels containing palladium acetate in the form of sachets. The Hauts-de-Seine departmental judicial police service is seized.
