The summer season is in full swing in Montreal, which welcomes approximately 11 million visitors each year. Whether they come from abroad, a neighboring province or even Quebec, many of them take part in guided tours to discover the metropolis. Artisans from “Le Devoir” have also joined in the fun to make you want to (re)discover Montreal from a different perspective.
Food is ultimately just a pretext. Louis Poirier — a Montrealer through and through — guides us and tells us about the “DNA of Mile End” in his gastronomic tour “”. Through seven restaurants and seven dishes, the streets of the neighborhood reveal its colors, its flavors, its history. The demonstration portions allow us to avoid indigestion and the strolls between two stops let us digest it all.

And no need to be a tourist. Even a Montrealer might be surprised by the cuisines visited, since the chosen places change from one day to the next, according to the seasons and new addresses in the area. Poutines and bagels will always be on the menu, but we also stop by the latest African dive or the brand new cheese shop on the corner.

If Mile End doesn’t whet your appetite, a tour of Old Montreal is also on the menu. These gourmet walks last about three hours and are offered in English or French upon request.
