Eastern Japan was rocked on Wednesday evening by a strong earthquake felt as far away as Tokyo, measuring 7.3, according to the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA) which issued a tsunami warning for much of the northern coast. -East.
The epicenter of the quake, which occurred at 11:36 p.m. local time (10:36 a.m. in Quebec), was located off the coast of Fukushima prefecture, 60 km deep, according to the JMA.
Two million homes have been without electricity since.
