Super-Minister Pierre Fitzgibbon is not moved to see the Ethics Commissioner open a sixth investigation into him. He even predicts that there will be further questions raised about his probity.

Mr. Fitzgibbon said he was “happy” on Friday with the new investigation launched by Mr.e Ariane Mignolet following the revelations of our Bureau of Investigation.
“She’s going to do her job and she’s going to say that there were no problems,” assures the minister about the checks launched by the commissioner.
The Journal reported yesterday that the Minister took part in a pheasant hunting party on a private island belonging to a group of wealthy businessmen who benefit from public subsidies.
Members must declare any gift exceeding $200. The minister did not say whether he paid for the entire activity.
The fact that this is a sixth investigation leaves the important minister indifferent. “There will be others. I don’t mind,” he said.

Although he assures that he has not placed himself in a conflict of interest, Minister Fitzgibbon does not intend to reveal with whom he hunted pheasants on the private island in Lake Memphremagog.
