The superstar of the song, who had just taken the stage to receive the award for best pop vocal album for Midnightsthanked her fans by revealing a secret “that she kept to herself for two years”, namely the release of a new album entitled The Tortured Poets Department on April 19.
Earlier in the evening, the pop star’s site displayed an error message, while her Instagram account displayed a new portrait of her in black and white. It didn’t take much for his fans to start scrutinizing all the signs pointing to the upcoming release of Reputation (Taylor’s Version), the re-recording of this “cursed” album dating from 2017. It was in fact a false lead: shortly after Taylor Swift’s speech on stage at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, we could see on her site the cover of this future record, with some hand-scribbled notes, including “All fair’s in love and poetry”.
