62 primary classes closed in Indre, eight schools still closed

A new record for class closures in Indre, due to the Covid-19 epidemic, only a week after having already been beaten. Currently, 62 classes are closed in the department, against 59 last weekaccording to the departmental services of National Education in Indre.
160 students and around thirty staff are positive have tested positive, forcing the various town halls to send children and adults home, to avoid further contamination.

Distance learning courses are therefore set up until Friday evening, before the two weeks of school holidays. 1,100 primary school students are concerned through this distance learning continuity.

Among the 12 schools completely closed last week, eight will not reopen until February 21 and the end of the holidays:

  • Tournon-Saint-Martin primary school
  • Saint-Denis-de-Jouhet primary school
  • Thenay primary school
  • maroon primary school
  • Paul Bert elementary school in Argenton
  • the elementary school of Saint-Gaultier
  • Vigoux school
