A plane crashed in the middle of houses on Friday, August 9, in Brazil, near Sao Paulo. All 62 people on board died. The causes of this crash are still unknown.
In free fall in the Brazilian sky, a passenger plane lost 4,000 meters of altitude in two minutes, before crashing among houses, Friday, August 9. Witnesses filmed the accident, from a residential area near Sao Paulo. “I saw the plane suddenly fall and I knew something serious was happening. I thought maybe it had run out of gas. I ran out of my house and saw it crash into the roof of a house.”confides a man.
A few hours later, only the remains of the charred carcass remained. All 62 people on board, all Brazilians, had died. At least one three-year-old child was among the victims. The entire country was in shock. Just before the crash, the plane had suddenly stopped responding to the control tower, before disappearing from the radar, without having reported any difficulty. The black boxes were found and are being analyzed by investigators. The plane was built in France by ATR, a Franco-Italian subsidiary of Airbus.
