This is a constantly increasing figure: 60 women now accuse the former owner of the London department store Harrods, Mohamed Al-Fayed, who died in 2023, of sexual assault and rape, compared to 37 last week. This was announced on Friday September 27 by the lawyers representing them in a press release.

“To date, we have responded to over 200 requests and messages from around the world. We confirm that we now represent 60 survivors in our work, with more to come.”they underlined, emphasizing the scope “more and more international” of this affair.

Thursday, it was the general director of the establishment who spoke. Mohamed Al Fayed “ran this company as his personal fiefdom. It is now clear that he established a toxic culture of secrecy, intimidation, fear of retaliation and sexual misconduct”assured Michael Ward, who worked for the Egyptian businessman between 2006 and 2010, when the store changed ownership.
