571 new cases of COVID-19 in Quebec

Quebec reports 571 new cases of COVID-19 and one additional death on Friday.

Of these new cases, 362 were people who had not been vaccinated or received a single dose less than 14 days ago, 17 had only received a single dose at least 14 days ago, and 192 had received a second dose at least seven days ago.

The province’s death toll therefore stands at 428,631 infected people and 11,511 deaths since the start of the pandemic.

The number of hospitalizations reported is 240 on Friday, one less than the day before. Of these patients, 57 are in intensive care, down from six.

Twenty-one people entered the hospital on Thursday. Of these, ten are not vaccinated or received only one dose less than 14 days ago, one had only received one dose at least 14 days ago and ten had received a second dose. at least seven days ago. Regarding vaccination, 14,683 doses were administered in the province in the last 24 hours, for a total of 13,301,485, to which are added 220,433 received by Quebecers outside Quebec.

According to the National Institute of Public Health of Quebec, 79.4% of the population has received at least one dose of vaccine against COVID-19. Among those 12 years and older, 90.7% have received at least one dose and 88.1% are adequately vaccinated.
