After the storms and strong gusts of wind that occurred on Saturday April 27, 5,700 customers were still without electricity at 10 p.m., Enedis tells franceinfo. These power outages occur “mainly in the departments of Dordogne, Corrèze and Limousin”specifies Enedis. “For security reasons, interventions will be suspended overnight and will resume at dawn tomorrow morning.” Enedis believes that he will remain “3,500 customers to be restored tomorrow [dimanche] in the morning”.

Trains canceled in Dordogne
In Dordogne, falling trees on high voltage lines caused power cuts but also disruptions on the rails, reports France Bleu Périgord. Five trains were canceled due to a high voltage line falling on the tracks west of Sarlat. Some roads were also closed due to trees falling on the roadway.
In the Landes, a violent storm damaged the roof of several houses and a vehicle in the town of Saint-Paul-lès-Dax, indicates France Bleu Gascogne. In total, the Landes SDIS carried out around twenty interventions in the Dax sector to clear trees that had fallen on the road or on power lines and dry out homes that had taken on water.
In Corrèze and Haute-Vienne, significant tree falls took place throughout the day, reports France Bleu Limousin. In Corrèze, the gendarmes carried out around thirty interventions, especially in the south of the department. In Haute-Vienne, the police intervened around twenty times. Several axes were cut while the trees were removed and there were some disruptions on the rails.
