The 27-year-old man had already appeared on February 24 to face 25 charges, involving 16 victims.

Bédard was back in court Monday morning to file new counts, which bring the total to 55 charges against him. Crown prosecutor Geneviève Corriveau explains that around thirty victims are involved in the case.

Still detained

Félix-Antoine Bédard was arrested at the end of February after a short investigation. He was particularly involved in the soccer program at the Académie Saint-Louis. He was also assistant technical director at the Association de soccer des Premières-Seigneuries.

He has since been suspended from all of his professional commitments.

According to the first elements of the investigation, the accused would have used social network applications to get in touch with his minor victims.

He allegedly sent sexually explicit photos to young girls, exhibited his genitals, and also produced child pornography, suggesting that some of the victims responded to his requests and sent him explicit material.

The crown again opposed the release of the accused, who will return to court by the end of the month.
