525 new cases of COVID-19 in Quebec

Quebec reported 525 new cases of COVID-19 and eight additional deaths on Wednesday.

Of the new cases, 325 were unvaccinated or had only received a single dose less than 14 days ago, 10 had received a single dose at least 14 days ago, and 190 had received a second dose there. at least seven days ago.

The province’s death toll stands at 427,472 people infected and 11,510 deaths since the start of the pandemic.

248 hospitalizations were reported on Wednesday, a drop of two compared to the day before. Of these patients, 70 are in intensive care, one less than Tuesday.

According to the National Institute of Public Health of Quebec, 79.4% of the population has received at least one dose of vaccine against COVID-19. Among those 12 years and older, 90.6% have received at least one dose and 88% are adequately vaccinated.
