At a press briefing last Thursday, 26 cases were identified, including around thirty under investigation.

At the Clinique l’Actuel, Dr Réjean Thomas, founder, says he has observed a slight increase in patients presenting with symptoms associated with monkeypox.

“The fever, muscle aches, and headaches were intense at the start of the week, and at the same time I developed a lesion in the genital area,” confided a man who wishes to remain anonymous. “Last night I was scared.”

What is asked of all people who have contracted monkeypox or are awaiting a result is to isolate themselves and wear a mask.
