51 motorists fined in Luxembourg

Taking pictures of anything and everything becomes almost a reflex today … But it can be expensive! Motorists driving on the A4 motorway, in Luxembourg, had the bitter experience of it this Monday.

About fifty of them took their cell phones, to immortalize a tanker truck on fire, early Monday morning. The accident occurred near the Pontpierre exit, in Mondercange (Luxembourg), towards Esch-sur-Alzette, and it aroused curiosity.

145 euros fine and two license points less

The Luxembourg police have spotted a total of 51 motorists photographing or filming the accident while driving. They are fined 145 euros and will lose two points on their license. Some have already received the tickets.

By the way, the police of the Grand Duchy point out that it is dangerous to use a phone while driving, and that this increases the risk of accidents.
