The cassoulet festival in its normal version is making a comeback this Thursday August 17, until Sunday August 21 in Castelnaudary. Until Sunday, you can enjoy delicious cassoulets. In all, 18 cassoulet professionals will be present to make you discover their know-how.
Free concerts for all tastes
The organizers are announcing several free concerts such as the one at Collectif Métissé Thursday, August 17 and that of 3 Cafés Gourmands the next day. More than 50,000 people are expected over the four days. A great return without health constraints since the 2020 edition had not taken place. In 2021, a very reduced version, which was not even called fête du cassoulet (the bean festival) had taken place.
The 21st edition therefore begins this Wednesday at 6 p.m. with the Petite Ronde and in the process, at 8 p.m., the traditional eight-kilometre pedestrian race will be held. The official opening of the party will take place on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. with the throwing of the keys to the crowd in Place de la République. The organizers recall the dress-code: you have to be dressed in white and blue!
