A suspect in custody
It was by cross-referencing the list of owners of white vans with that of the national sex offenders file that the police found a man. The latter is from Hennebont, about fifteen kilometers from Lorient. He is 50 years old and has a previous conviction for sexual abuse. On the evening of June 8, he is still being interrogated. His vehicle was seized. The body of the student, found naked, confirmed the strangulation. The autopsy revealed recent sexual intercourse. She was buried on Wednesday, June 7, in the strictest privacy.
